Jung Jiyoung (born June 28, 1992) is a South-Korean American singer, signed under RISE Entertainment as trainee who is set to debut as a singer.

Life and Career

Jung Jiyoung was born in California, USA, on June 28, 1992. Jiyoung attended Shattuck-Saint Mary's in Faribault, Minnesota, where she was an honor student and athlete and had earned various awards for academics and music-related activities. In 2007, she was seen by talent scouts at the VELVET Performing Arts Workshop in California, and travelled to South Korea in November that year to become a K-pop trainee. She graduated from Hanlim Multi Art School at the age of 18. After more than nine years of training, during 2015, she is planned to debut in a girl group called Marionette The group almost made its debut in March 2015. She moves to a new company called RISE Entertainment to debut as a solo singer.


The controversy happened during 2015. There was a feud between Jiyoung and the members of Marionette. People heard the rumors about the members are jealous of Jiyoung because she always get the spotlight. The controversy causes the group to disband.
